About the Talent
Janelle Pierce holds a B.A. in Vocal Performance from St. Mary's University. Many have referred to her as a "musical prodigy" due to her passion for music at a very young age. Her instruments include: piano, violin, guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, and mandolin.
Janelle holds ten years’ experience as a musical instructor. From one on one to group settings, she is able to take any level of student, and guide them on their path towards musicianship.
In addition to her musical talents, Janelle also studied acting in her college years, and has a twelve year background in dance styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and contemporary. She has choreographed routines for state championship holding choirs, school events and even for private events such as quinceañera court dances.
Performance
Janelle Pierce is a multi-talented musician who is diverse in all styles and genres. In addition to solo performance, Janelle often fills in for local groups on instruments such as guitar, bass, drums, piano, vocals and violin.
Instruction
Janelle Pierce has over ten years experience, in the private teaching sector, teaching stringed instruments, voice, percussion and piano as well as managing music stores and selling musical instruments . In addition to quality instruction, Pierce offers her students: the reassurance of having a tutor who can aid in minor repairs and set ups of instruments and guidance to an affordable and appropriate instrument for the aspiring musician, due to her experience in the musical marketplace. Pierce also offers accompaniment to student musicians.
Entertainment
Janelle began to sing before she could talk. At the age of five, she began studying the piano and taking dance, at the age of eight she began taking strings class, and shortly after she took up the drums. From a very young age, Janelle instantly took an interest in all aspects of performing including the singing, dancing, acting, choreography, accompaniment and directing. Pierce received her B.A. in Music Performance from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. Pierce has performed in musical productions, live performances as well as private events.
